Dr Sunita Singh completed her Ph. D under the Department of Energy (DAE) BARC- University of Mumbai, (UM), India collaboration Scheme in 2003. She was the recipient of DAE JRF and SRF fellowship following which she joined the School of Biotechnology which was incepted in 2003. Since then she has been involved in various capacities in building the base and in growth of the School of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, D. Y. Patil is deemed to be University. She believes in starting any work and leading it to completion and has a compassion for work. Working in a group and leading a group or as an individual has been her way of working. Her administrative ability is depicted in various roles at the School right from the Internal Quality Assurance cell, Examinations Cell, Research Advisory Committee, Institution Biosafety, NAAC committee and as BOS members to several Universities. She has also been invited as Interview panelist, External Examiners for conduct of Ph. D Viva and have guided three students for their Ph. D research work other than guiding several Postgraduate and graduate students. She has published more than 25 research publications. Her compassion is also to work for the sustainability of the environment and for that matter her practice and advice, motivates her students also to practice habits for the betterment of the environment.
Dr Mohammed Aurifullah obtained his Ph D (Plant Biotechnology), Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati - India, 2007, Post doctorate (Protein Engineering), University of Calgary, Canada - 2010 – 2011 and Post doctorate (Protein Structure), Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore - 2007 – 2009 He has received Junior Scientist Award – 2005 by National Environmental Science Academy (NESA), New Delhi. He is currently working as Senior lecturer in the Faculty of Agro Industry and Natural Resources, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, Malaysia. Dr Mohammed Aurifullah’s research has appeared in several peer-reviewed articles in several journals, edited books and conference proceedings.
Dr. Kianmehr's expertise is in environmental engineering and sustainable built environment, with emphasis on the sustainability of water infrastructure and treatment technologies. His research work involves characterization and treatment of water and wastewater, bioenergy generation from municipal wastewater, sustainable development of water infrastructure, and green buildings. Between 1999 and 2004, he directed various design, planning, and QC studies in the field of hydraulic engineering and worked on major water transmission and supply projects, as well as earth dam construction and flood control projects. Prior to joining AUD, he worked with Environment Canada on the design, operation, and evaluation of components of wastewater treatment plants. Dr. Kianmehr is a member of the Water Environment Federation (WEF) and the Water Environment Association of Ontario (WEAO).
Dr. Monica Dragomirescu is a Senior Lecturer in the Bioengineering Faculty of Animal Resources, BUASVM. She obtained her PhD in the field of enzyme stabilization and application as efficient biocatalysts for green technologies from Banat’s University of Agricultural Science and Veterinary Medicine “King Michael I of Romania '' from Timișoara (BUASVM), Romania in 2005. All her academic and scientific career was carried out in the field of Biotechnologies. The main research topics consist of enzymatic biocatalysts - bioconversion of some natural substrates in products of industrial interests. The research was led into several research projects won in competitions. The research results were published in peer-reviewed journals, edited books, and conference proceedings. She also has a dynamic editorial activity being Deputy Editor for two peer- reviewed journals, indexed in several databases – Advanced Research in Life Sciences Journal and Scientific Papers Animal Science and Biotechnologies Journal.
