Abstract : In this research, the correctional institution's role in the criminal justice system is explored by applying a quantitative study design. By collecting data from 101 participants through a survey, primary quantitative data has been collected, and its interpretation indicated that housing, employment and addiction management play a crucial role in recidivism prevention. Along with this, post-release support measures seems to have a significant influence on criminal behaviour where institutions play a great role in upholding social inclusion and community guidance values.
