Abstract : Climate change and extreme weather have had a devastating impact on families and communities in developing nations. These effects include increased poverty and food insecurity, displacement, and health impacts. Families and communities are particularly vulnerable due to limited resources and infrastructure to cope with climate change and extreme weather events. To mitigate these impacts, families and communities must have access to financial resources and tools to adapt to climate change and extreme weather. Governments, international organizations, NGOs, and other stakeholders must increase their efforts to support communities in developing nations in climate change adaptation and resilience. Moreover, the need for more research and data on how climate change and extreme weather affect families and communities in developing nations must be addressed to ensure that sustainable solutions can be implemented.
