Abstract : The sustained progress of the immense emotional intensity generated by the masses in a social movement is often tentative. Thus, the use of emotional incentives to secure commitment is a typical stimulation technique used by leaders to facilitate a successful campaign. This research explores the pivotal role of emotions in social movements, examining how emotional intensity can shape their trajectory and success across three stages: the precursors to mobilization, the initial spark that ignites action, and the sustained emotional engagement throughout the movement's lifespan, all of which are supported by practical case studies of notable movements in history. Under these perspectives above, the successful campaigns share some key elements, including alignment towards clear objectives, and a compelling vision of social change in action. Ultimately, the study concludes that emotional support forms a key prerequisite for the success of social movements. From individual actions to collective behaviors, emotions shape and fuel the course of these movements, underpinning their progression, transformation, and potential success. These findings can be further used to the advantage of modern social movements, as it will be the task of any social movement to succinctly and constantly appeal to people's personal emotions and collective feelings in order to provoke target groups, inspire participation, and foster long-term commitment for the movement's eventual success.
